Overview
In Massachusetts, public funding for the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences is provided through a central state agency - the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) - and through a network of Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) that serve every city and town in the state.
The LCCs award grants to support a broad range of cultural activities including field trips. The funds are awarded to a school, a town department, an organization, or an individual.
The Plainville LCC is responsible for making the final decisions on how to best serve the cultural needs of Plainville in selecting grant recipients and the amount of each grant.
