The Town of Plainville is a recipient of funds from the Statewide Opioid Settlements between the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and various manufacturers, distributors, and related entities. As a participant, the Town must ensure funds are distributed in compliance with the State-Subdivision Agreement. In furtherance of this agreement and to begin distributing funds, the Select Board adopted a Distribution of Opioid Settlement Funds Policy and accompanying application form on September 22, 2025. Applications are now open for the first round of grants for FY26. The Select Board will accept applications on a rolling basis until funds are distributed, and will continue to accept applications each fiscal year until the settlement expires (expected in the mid-2030's). Please email all completed applications to Town Administrator Brian Noble or mail them to the Office of the Select Board at 190 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762 to be placed on the Select Board's next agenda.
