Overview

The Planning Board issues special permits and development permits required by the zoning bylaws, subdivision, and "Form A" plan approvals required by the subdivision control law, as well as performing master planning to ensure the welfare of the community as a whole.

If you are planning on developing land in Plainville, please contact this department prior to submitting any plans. The Director of Planning & Economic Development is available for pre-submittal reviews, which can often save applicants considerable time and expense when permitting their projects.
