Household Hazardous Waste Day
Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day: June 4, 2022, 8 am to noon
Free to residents with a current Recycling/Compost Center Pass; $25 for all others.
Where: Highway Garage/Recycling/Compost Center - 29 West Bacon Street (1/4 mile from South Street (Route 1A) intersection on right, shares common drive with ATCO Plastics)
A limit of 25 pounds or 5 gallons per vehicle has been set to ensure that as many families as possible can take part in the collection.

Waste should be brought in sealed containers with tightened caps and lids. Leave materials in original, labeled containers when possible. Pack containers in sturdy, upright boxes with newspaper padding. Sort and pack separately paint, pesticides and household cleaners. Do not mix chemicals, and do not place waste in a garbage bag. There will be a fee for additional quantities over 5 gallons or 25 pounds per vehicle.

- Latex paint can be put in your regular trash once hard. Remove lids or pour in shallow cardboard box to dry out.
